Traveler Pledge & Code of Conduct

At Next Horizon, our trips are more than just vacations. They are opportunities for growth, connection, and adventure. We ask that all travelers commit to the following pledge to ensure a safe, respectful, and enriching experience for everyone.

1) Attitude & Mindset

I will come into this journey with an open mind, curiosity, and a spirit of adventure.
I find joy in stepping outside of my comfort zone, trying new things, and exploring cultures different from my own.
I understand that travel involves unpredictability, flight delays, weather, itinerary adjustments, accommodation changes, and I will remain flexible and positive in the face of change.
I will value connections made on the trip, with fellow travelers, local communities, and with myself, as some of the most meaningful outcomes of the journey.

2) Respect for Culture & Environment

I will respect local customs, traditions, and cultural differences, and will refrain from making disparaging remarks about things that are unfamiliar to me.
I will respect the natural environment, follow guidelines for responsible and sustainable travel, and do my best to leave a positive impact on the places we visit.
I understand that service standards, mealtimes, and daily routines may differ from those at home, and I will embrace those differences with patience and understanding.
I have read the full itinerary and looked at the style of accommodations and agree that they look good to me.

3) Group Travel Etiquette

I will treat all fellow travelers with kindness, inclusivity, and respect, recognizing that everyone comes from different walks of life.
I understand that this is not only my trip but also the trip of others, and I will strive to be punctual, considerate, and mindful of group schedules.
I will communicate with Next Horizon’s Host or Agent or local host if issues arise so they can be addressed proactively.

4) Respect for Hosts, Agents & Staff

I understand that Next Horizon Hosts and/or Agents and/or local hosts are entrusted with the safety, comfort, and well-being of all travelers.
I agree to follow their guidance and instructions, recognizing that failure to do so may jeopardize my safety, the safety of others, or the group’s overall experience.
I understand that refusal to follow guidance, disruptive conduct, or behavior endangering myself or others may result in immediate removal from the trip, without refund.

5) Behavior Standards

I will not engage in harassment, discrimination, or unwanted physical contact of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to, racism, sexism, sexual harassment, aggression, or offensive language, acts of xenophobia, whether verbal, physical, written, or online.
I will not engage in illegal activities or the use of prohibited substances. I am solely responsible for ensuring that any prescribed medications comply with the local laws of the destinations we visit.
I will drink responsibly, respecting my safety and that of others.
I will avoid excessive use of mobile phones at group meals, using them only for photos or emergencies so as not to disrupt the shared experience.
I will take reasonable precautions to avoid illness, and if I am unwell, I will inform the Host, Agent or local host and take steps to prevent spreading sickness to others.

6) Responsibility & Liability

I accept responsibility for any damage or loss I cause to property, accommodations, or suppliers, and agree to make prompt payment for such damage.
I understand that participation in trip activities requires a level of physical fitness. If I choose not to participate in an activity, I accept that no alternative plans or refunds will be provided by Next Horizon.

7) Grounds for Removal

Any traveler engaging in harassment, abusive or discriminatory behavior, criminal acts, unsafe conduct, or failure to respect the authority of Next Horizon staff may be excluded from part or all of the trip without refund or compensation.
Next Horizon reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine whether a traveler meets its suitability standards and to cancel any current or future booking on that basis.

By booking a trip with Next Horizon, I acknowledge that I’ve read and agreed to the terms of this Traveler Pledge and Code of Conduct, and I commit to upholding these principles and ensuring a respectful, mindful, and enjoyable travel experience for myself, my fellow travelers, and the communities we engage with.
